Assalamualikum Wr. Wb.
Let's start from
the meaningful activities in this Ramadhan at home. I describe in points.
Alright, these are the activities :
1. Ramadhan Studies
This
activity was held every Sunday afternoon on the LHI media channel. All of SMPIT
LHI students must join to this, which lasts for 1.5 hours. The topics of the
studies change every week. These studies aim to provide enlightenment while
waiting for breaking the fasting.
2. Ramadhan Workshop on Design and Digital
Marketing by Praxis Academy.
Every
Monday afternoon, I joined this activity. This activity held in the Zoom app,
and about 30 people participated in it. I chose the Design and Digital Marketing
subject because I want to improve my competence in design using computer software. There is
one tutor in this activity.
3. Creating a blog as a personal project
I
created some blog articles for Ramadhan activities. I usually made an article
about Ramadhan because this is relevant now. I started making a posting draft
using the Notepad app, and then I copied it to my blog. I revised, and I added
some pictures, and later I published it. I love making blog articles because I
hope it can be useful for others.
4. Performing Ramadhan worship (tarawih prayer,
fasting, sahur, breaking the fasting, five times prayers, Quran tilawah) at
home.
As
I said at the beginning, we can't do the prayer at the mosque because of the
COVID-19 outbreak. As a replacement, I did that at home. I usually did tarawih
prayer at 7:30 PM and sahur at 4 AM. On the 21th day of Ramadhan, I
already finished 20 juz tilawah so far. My target is khatam of the Holy Quran
one time at this Ramadhan, In syaa Allah.
5. Read inspirational novels.
One
of my hobbies is reading books. Because of that, I bought two novels last month
by online. The titles are "Ayahku
(bukan) Pembohong" and "Moga
Bunda Disayang Allah." I read the books and I love them. I
tremendously enjoy it because that is more useful than I play games.
About my worship
in this Ramadhan :
1.
I did
tarawih prayer eight rakaat and witir three rakaat at home.
2.
Sahur and
breaking the fasting were at home.
3.
All
prayers were done at home.
4.
I did
fasting like at school; until maghrib time.
My feelings are
mixed. Sometimes I feel relieved when all the assignments have been submitted
to the teacher. However, behind that, I more often feel lonely due to the
absence of friends in the real world. There are many friends in cyberspace. The
only "best friend" at the moment is my mother. I often express and
discuss everything with my mother.
What I like from this Ramadhan activities is that I can form a new
lifestyle, using the internet as a source of getting information, doing work,
listening to music, reading news, and this is in line with technological
advances in the present age.
What I don't like from this Ramadhan activities is the absence of friends as a means of
association and information exchange, so I feel lonely every day. Besides that,
being unable to get out of the house caused me to feel even more bored.
I will learn how to be more productive on the internet so that the time
given by God is not wasted by just playing games or relaxing.
I regret several temptations, like playing games and
gadgets that have made me (feel) less productive. Also, my memorization of the
Quran is not much increased when compared to when in the dormitory.
Next, I am determined to increase the time to do activities that are more
meaningful than just relaxing and playing games.
Wassalamualaikum wr. wb
